A Family Maternity Session | Wells, Somerset

It's such a cliché, but once you have children time really does just seem to whizz by! I can't believe that it was back in October that I joined this gorgeous little family to capture some memories before their impending arrival, who has just recently turned five months old!

We started the session off downstairs, being led by the super cute Jasper, who soon became full of beans after the initial shyness had disappeared. Before long he was doing circuits, clambering over the back of the sofa before being wrestled down and tickled by daddy. This went on for a good 10 minutes and his little chuckle was so infectious!

After the exhausting work of doing all of those circuits, Jasper led me over to his toy kitchen where he prepared refreshments for everyone to catch their breath. While Jasper was busy pottering, I was able to grab a few pictures of mummy and daddy admiring Sarah's baby bump.

It wasn't long before Jasper then declared it story time. I smiled to myself as he picked up Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy, as it had been a childhood favourite of my own! This gave the perfect opportunity for some snuggly family portraits.

We then headed upstairs for cuddles on the bed. Jasper would nestle himself into Sarah's bump whilst pretending to be asleep and snore, before scaring us all with the loudest 'Boo' ever! It also wasn't long until more tickling took place and everyone was in fits of laughter!

With Jasper then dragging daddy downstairs for a snack, it gave me time to capture a few calm images of Sarah by herself before leaving these guys to enjoy an afternoon together.

This was such a relaxed and lovely in-home session to capture Sarah's second pregnancy, but I think we can all see who became the real star of the show . . .
